A wonderful school holiday activity – a horse drawn country carriage ride in the Macedodn Ranges at Carlsruhe! We are located half way between Woodend and Kyneton, not far from the Calder Highway turnoff.

We drive through  farm land with rolling hills and see farm animals, often kangaroos, mature European trees and native bush, beautiful views to Mount Macedon and Hanging Rock.

Ride in a comfortable all-weather wagon which takes 4 average sized adults and children. Easy to enter with two low steps and hand rails. Rugs provided.

Ride in an 1890s buggy which takes up to 3 average sized adults.

1 hour  $150 **

1.5 hour  $200 **

2 hours  $280 **

**Prices are total wagon hire (not per person). The wagon can take 1 – 4 average sized adults plus 2-4 small children or the equivalent. The antique buggy can take 2 -3 medium sized adults.

Rides leave from ‘Hedge Farm’* at 124 Three Chain Road, Carlsruhe (near Chaser’s Lane and about 3 kilometres from the Calder Highway turnoff.)

*Hedge Farm is an independent Accommodation, Function Centre & Gallery. Separate from Yesteryear Today Carriages.

There are two horses which are Percheron Cross breeds. Patrick is grey and Laura is black. Both are experienced with lovely personalities. You can bring an apple or carrot as a reward for your horse after your ride and photos are always welcome.
