Working with Polymer Clay Slabs

Create polymer clay slab jewellery
Studio 4, 52-56 Mollison Street Kyneton

Working with cutout shapes, extrusions, texturing tools, and block clay, participants will discover how to build their own polymer clay slabs. Once built, slabs can be used as texture or veneers on other projects and are also a useful design element for custom jewellery.

Learn how to roll out slabs without losing the effect of your patterns and how to use the left over pieces from a slab for new projects. Once completed slabs will be turned into components for jewellery and cured. Participants will the learn how to create a professional finish on their components and take home several completed jewellery pieces.

This class is run in Studio 4, Kyneton Craftery. Kyneton Craftery is all about crafting and the studio runs a wide range of craft classes and events for all ages, including private sessions and parties. Filled to the brim with a selection of materials and tools workshops offer a taster of new crafts, or the opportunity to brush up on an old favourite.
