Woodend Winter Arts Festival: Marshall McGuire and Ben Opie Recital
Harp and oboe are perfect partners here in A Song & Dance, performed by Marshall McGuire and Ben Opie
A special recital from two of Australia’s leading performers. Harp and oboe are perfect partners, often used to depict pastoral or love scenes. In this program, Marshall and Ben present a recital of works ranging from the energetic dances compiled in the 17th century by John Playford, through the timeless beauty of JS Bach, to a collection of Romantic songs, and some new works from Australian composers.
