Extraordinary Australian pianist Simon Tedeschi returns to Woodend with special guest and Sydney Symphony concertmaster, Andrew Haveron, to pay homage to one of the early 20th century’s great duo partnerships: Kreisler and Rachmaninov. Recreating part of a concert program performed and recorded by these two giants of classical music’s history, Simon and Andrew share their admiration for two of their heroes with two great sonatas: Schubert’s Romantic ‘duo’ sonata and Grieg’s best-loved third violin sonata, a passionate work of breathtaking virtuosity.

Franz Schubert: Violin Sonata in A major, D574
Edvard Grieg: Violin Sonata No.3 in C minor, Op. 45
