Transport is available: patrons can catch the train from the Daylesford Market out to the Passing Clouds platform. Tickets for the train must be paid separately via the Spa Railway website.

Cancellation policy: The event will only be cancelled if due to COVID restrictions or extreme weather for the safety of staff and patrons. Any pre-ordered food/wine will be refunded.

Passing Clouds was the name co-founders Graeme Leith and Sue Mackinnon gave to their small family owned winery when in 1974 having tirelessly hand planted their central Victorian Bendigo vineyard, were hoping for rain. Rain clouds would come, threaten and pass, and on old gold diggings and a deserted creek bed, they planted Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Now under the watch of Cameron Leith, there is a focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from their new home in the Macedon Ranges which when coupled with their ongoing traditional Passing Clouds offerings from Bendigo compounds to form a formidable stable of wines.

About the Summertime Fling Festival

The January Summertime Fling Festival features three weeks of events across Macedon Ranges cellar doors, promoting everything wine, food and fun.

Macedon Ranges Wine is running the event to encourage lovers of wine and food to take a well-earned break from 2021. Come and share fun in the fresh air and scenic wide-open spaces (while following COVID protocol of course!).

This is a great opportunity to reconnect with people you may not have seen for a long-time in an easily accessible, central location – that also happens to be stunningly picturesque.
