Once an elite kayaker competing overseas, a graduate at Ivanhoe Grammar, and undergoing a Physiotherapy degree. Jarrod’s life drastically changed after a car accident in 1997, he lost movement to the entire right side of his body as well as an Acquired Brain Injury. Confined to a wheel chair he found an escape and a sense of purpose through his Art. He has been part of a painting group every Tuesday for over 24 years as well as working on projects every Monday and Wednesday with his carer.
This is Jarrod’s first solo exhibition of his acrylic and mosaic artworks.
The exhibition is on display in the Studio Gallery until August 5, 2019.
