Elizabeth Darling is an artist, writer and illustrator who has lived in Kyneton for 50 years.  Her paintings are in the National Library of Australia, The ETSI Collection, a number of schools and libraries throughout Australia, and in private collections. She has been commissioned to illustrate learned journals, magazine articles, instruction pamphlets, exam papers, and books for young readers.

She has held a number of solo exhibitions in Melbourne and is delighted to hang this exhibition in the imaginatively restored space which was the venue in earlier years for so many rewarding and exciting auctions. The new iteration offers great opportunities for established and emerging artists in the Macedon Ranges and a place for whole community involvement in creative activities.

This exhibition offers her observations on how the community in Kyneton has changed over the last 50 years, and yet remains concerned with the same basic issues.
