Needle Felting for Beginners in Kyneton

Using locally sourced and hand dyed wool you will learn the basics of traditional needle felting in this all day workshop in the heart of Kyneton in the Macedon Ranges. In the morning you will learn the basics of needle felting and be guided to create a cute little felt ball, perfect as a cat toy! After a delicious locally sourced lunch Ingrid will teach you how to layer colours, create dimension and develop the shape of your brooch.

Ingrid has taught for over 40 years and is passionate about passing on her skills and love of fibre through her workshops! In this beginners needle felting workshop she will teach you about the different characteristics of the various types of wool, how to use felting needles and answer all your troubleshooting needle felt questions leaving you ready to continue and progress your practice when you return home.

A delicious lunch will be provided created from all local organic produce and able to cater for any dietary requirements you may have. You will also be provided with a divine afternoon treat and tea and coffee facilities are available throughout the day.

The workshop costs include all materials required and all tools will be provided in the studio for use by participants.
