Lost Trades Artisan Workshop – Metalwork and Leather workshop

Brass, Copper, Bronze & Leather – an introduction into leatherwork, metalwork, shaping, stamping and decorative design with Armourer, Sam Bloomfield

Sam has had an incredible career designing and creating suits of armour, articulated metal gloves and costumes for films and theatre, sets of armour and sculptural pieces for private collectors. Learn techniques in leather and metal decoration working in both mediums over this full day class with armourer, metalsmith and leather craftsman Sam Bloomfield. During the class you will be taught about techniques in leather and  will work on designing your own decorative leather cuff with leather stamps and punches. Having completed the leather part of the workshop in the morning, the afternoon is spent working with metals – copper and brass and learning techniques in decoration  buffing and polishing your amulet or pendant with a selection of specialty tools. All materials and tools are supplied.

At the end of the workshop you will take home a your finished pieces in both leather and metal (as pictured).

Cost: $275 and includes tea and coffee, all materials and expert tuition by Sam Bloomfield. (max class size 6 people).
