Line Dance is an invitation to follow a playful trail of charcoal and movement, body and impression, colour and projections to compose a dance of lines. Immerse yourself in mark making and mess, go wild with technique and texture.

Visual artist Rita Pires and contemporary dancer Alexandra Harrison take participants on a wild and messy dance experience. Materials like charcoal, paper and light are brought to life with our bodies. We grow braver – and dirtier – as the process transforms the space and us along the way. Creating drawings as we dance.

Line Dance is an explicitly messy affair. We will provide towels and water for washing hands and feet at lunch break and workshop’s end, however participants need to dress in clothes that they can get dirty.
