Kyneton Ridge is a cool climate vineyard, with granitic soil and good rainfall, which is ideal for Pinot Noir growth. Our vineyard is farmed with the use of organic compost and biodynamic principles without the use of chemical pesticides or herbicides. Our vines are hand pruned, and the fruit is hand picked to ensure only the best grapes are used in our winemaking.
Kyneton Ridge produce fine wines featuring Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Macedon Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay, Sparkling Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.
The Ridge Café has magnificent views across the Macedon Ranges, and provides a relaxed atmosphere where friends and family can meet and enjoy a contemporary, seasonal menu designed to complement our fine table wines. Our focus is on homemade fresh food that can be shared, and we serve great coffee and desserts.
Located in the Café, The Ridge Artspace provides established and emerging artists an opportunity to exhibit their work in a casual gallery setting. Please check our Facebook page for more information about current exhibitions.
We have a resident herd of wild kangaroos, which make regular appearances in the nearby paddocks, much to the delight of our city and international visitors.
About the Summertime Fling Festival
The January Summertime Fling Festival features three weeks of events across Macedon Ranges cellar doors, promoting everything wine, food and fun.
Macedon Ranges Wine is running the event to encourage lovers of wine and food to take a well-earned break from 2021. Come and share fun in the fresh air and scenic wide-open spaces (while following COVID protocol of course!).
This is a great opportunity to reconnect with people you may not have seen for a long-time in an easily accessible, central location – that also happens to be stunningly picturesque.
