Learn the art of handbuilding ceramics in this three-hour beginner workshop held in a lovely pottery studio in Kyneton.

Over three hours, you’ll be shown some simple hand-building techniques to create some great pottery pieces to take home, such as platters, plates, mugs, oil burners and vases. We’ll also break briefly for a delicious morning/afternoon tea.

This workshop is perfect for beginners, and is an ideal introduction to experimenting with clay and different hand building techniques. You’ll be shown the basic techniques of pinching, coiling and slab building, as well as decorative surface approaches like impressing, or attaching handles or spouts. You’ll then have time to practise these skills by making your own pieces. After the workshop, your pieces will be glazed and fired and ready for collection, or I can post to you (postage fee not included).

Workshop class sizes are capped at two people, making for a fun and engaging class. Make a day of it with a friend and grab a meal in beautiful Kyneton and explore the town.
