Artist Alissa Duke has an exhibition at Dromkeen which demonstrates Alissa’s ability to turn unwanted books into objects of art.
Alissa draws in books that were about to be discarded. She draws an image with watercolour pencils, inspired by words on the page. The books are given a new life, to be appreciated by a new audience. These books have a wide variety of subjects, including travel, food, history, and nature.
Alissa will talk about why she draws in books and about her creative process.
