Ceramics Workshop in the Countryside

Join us for a fabulous 1-day workshop + an optional 3-hour glazing session with ceramicist Emma Jimson of Pom-me-granite Studios.

Pom-me-granite workshops are held in a working ceramics studio in an inspiring rural setting.

You’ll meet like minded souls and gain confidence through gentle guidance and experimentation.

Classes cater for absolute beginners through to professional potters seeking to incorporate plaster moulds into their ceramic practice.

Beautiful handmade ceramics are not something to be stored in the cupboard for special occasions – they can be used every day to bring pleasure and remind us of our connection to the earth.

You will learn to:

make a set of 4 bowls using hump moulds
make your own plaster hump mould using 1 of 3 demonstrated techniques
glaze your bisque fired bowls – or Emma will glaze them for you (same cost)

Workshop fee includes:

4 finished and fired porcelain bowls
your plaster hump mould
morning and afternoon tea

Fee:

$195 – maximum of 6 people per class

February 23rd 2019- with an optional glazing session March 16th

Location and times:

All workshops are held at Pom-me-granite Studios in Pastoria East.
Please arrive at 8.45am for a 9am start. We will finish at 5pm.
