Buttlejorrk’s 46th Annual Art Exhibition
Buttlejorrk was founded in 1976 by a group of potters wishing to share their knowledge and exhibit their work as a group. The groups name “Buttlejorrk” refers to the original name of an area around Sunbury and Diggers Rest. There are still some of the original members as well as artists who have joined in recent years.
The individual artists background and work is varied, encompassing both traditional and contemporary works and over the years the group has expanded to include a wider range of arts including painting, sculpture, jewellery, textiles, metalwork and woodwork.
This year the annual Buttlejorrk exhibition includes 12 current members who are looking forward to showing their work and celebrating the supportive creative community of the Macedon Ranges including two members debuting members Samantha Gardiner and David Bowden. They will join Brandy Monteith, Cathy Gross, Deidre Chestney, Denise Martin, Jan Guest, Marg Altman, Mim Osmelak, Pat Beasley, Pam Jackson, and Tim Meager.
All work is for sale and it is ideal opportunity to purchase a unique, locally handmade piece of art for yourself or as a gift.
You can meet the artists on Saturday November the 12th from 2-4pm
