Kyneton Museum is excited to present Bagungga (bug-ung-ya)—an exhibition of contemporary Aboriginal art and crafts.

Items in this exhibition have been collected during the owners’ frequent visits to Aboriginal communities throughout Australia. This will be the first time this extensive private collection has been on public display.

A series of community engagement and educational events are planned for the duration of exhibition. The title of the exhibition means ‘to gather or collect’, from language spoken by our local Taungurung Clans.

We wish to acknowledge the support of the Indigenous Employment Partners as sponsors of this event.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kyneton for this special exhibition, held every Friday to Sunday from 20 September 2019 to 27 March 2020.

Cost

$5 adult, $3 concession & child (under 5 free), $10 family, $2.50 school group (with activities)
