A hole in one for T21

Can Down Syndrome Victoria's CEO Daniel Payne hit a hole in one?
Woodend Golf Club Inc, Woodend VIC, Australia

Join us for a thrilling experience, either virtually or in person, as Down Syndrome Victoria’s CEO Daniel Payne takes on the ultimate golf challenge to support our cause! From the comfort of your own home or on the course itself, you can make a meaningful impact by supporting Dan’s endeavour.

Support this fundraiser to ensure critical and foundational supports for people with Down syndrome and families.

The challenge

From Saturday 22 June, either until Dan has hit a hole in one OR a maximum of 3,000 balls (we’re aiming for the former, obviously!) Dan will keep on swinging day and night in support of Down Syndrome Victoria. You can cheer him on by making a donation (any donation over $50 gets to have a go at guessing the winning ball), or come down and have a hit yourself.

You’ll also have the chance to win some incredible golf prizes courtesy of Drummond Golf and St Andrews Beach Golf, or a fabulous weekend away (opposite a golf course and within walking distance to the beach!) at Boho Beach House, Lakes Entrance.

Here’s how to get involved

1. Make a general donation. Make a difference by donating to Dan’s effort. Every contribution, no matter the size, fuels our mission and brings us closer to our goals.

2. Take a guess. With any donation over $50, you’ll have the chance to select a ball from 1 to 3,000. Will you choose the elusive ‘hole in one’ ball and win our grand prize — a weekend away for six people at Boho Beach House, Lakes Entrance? Even if the hole in one remains unachieved, all ball selectors will be entered into the draw for the same grand prize.

3. Challenge yourself. If you’re eager to have a hit yourself, join us at the picturesque Woodend Golf Club on Saturday 22 or Sunday 23 June for $10 per shot. Have a go and try your luck at scoring a hole in one. The first person to hit a hole in one will win a Tour Edge Package fitted from Drummond Golf Niddrie, valued at $2,500. Eighteen holes of golf for up to four players at St Andrews Beach Golf valued at over $400 will be awarded to the ball nearest the pin.

For this option, no registration is required, simply turn up to the second hole at Woodend Golf Club, 12 Davey Street Woodend, from 10am to 8pm on either Saturday 22 or Sunday 23 June. Clubs, balls and lighting available at the venue.

Whether you’re supporting from afar, or teeing up with us in person, your generosity makes a difference. https://www.mycause.com.au/events/holeinonefort21

Why support Down Syndrome Victoria?

Down Syndrome Victoria is a community based not-for-profit membership organisation established in 1978, made up of people with Down syndrome, their families, friends and professionals, all committed to achieving positive change.

We advocate with and for people with Down syndrome to have access to the same opportunities, supports and community activities as other Victorians. We work within a human rights framework, consistent with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disability.

We want to live in a society where people with Down syndrome are valued, and enjoy social and economic inclusion.
Together, we can and will create this inclusive community.
