An evocatively named country village, Woodend is a jewel in the centre of the Macedon Ranges. Experience luxury providores, wineries and walking, in a peaceful country setting.

Woodend offers the plethora of local produce and gourmet produce. Try the award winning vanilla slices at Bourkie’s Bakehouse, local gourmet treats from the village deli’s, local fruit and organic veggies, all manner of options for barista quality coffee, or an intimate degustation menu complemented by local wines at the restaurants.

Campaspe Country House on Goldies Lane, the 1920s heritage manor set on hectares of Edna Walling designed gardens and natural bushland, is an institution of fine hospitality in the Macedon Ranges. A visit is a must.

The Lions Club Market takes places on the third Sunday of the month from September to May, around the Community Centre and Visitor Information Centre. .

For the sportsman, the Woodend Golf Course is a unique links course built on the hill outside town with views to Hanging Rock and Mt Macedon.
