Chef-patron Tim Austin is marrying the comfort and heartiness of Nonna-style Italian dishes with modern technique and creativity. Using a core of local ingredients he’s developed a generous menu with options from antipasti through to dolci. Our house-made gnocchi is a particular local favourite..
With a Chef-Sommelier as host you can expect good drinking options to accompany your food experience. The wine list includes some great traditional and exciting new Italian varietals, alongside some of the best from the Macedon Ranges and Heathcote regions. And if you’re a cocktail or beer drinker we have plenty for you too, from a traditional aperol spritz, to some great Italian and local craft beers.
The La Bonta inspiration? It’s the famed generosity and warmth of Italian hospitality that inspired Tim and his wife Janet to open their own restaurant, recognising that a genuine welcome and friendly service can transform a great meal into a fantastic experience.
