Paramoor Farm Father’s Day Fayre

Paramoor Farm Father’s Day Fayre

Paramoor Farm Fayre features folk music performances headed this year by Maria Ford, bush poetry readings, a workshop hosted by TV personality Tonia Todman, many stalls highlighting local foods, wines and produce, activities for the children. This year's theme is Celebrating the Bush.

This year’s Paramoor Farm Fayre on Father’s Day, Sunday September 6 10am - 4pm.

The event that started several years ago to raise funds for the local Country Fire Brigade has now become one of the Macedon Region’s major annual attractions and attracts visitors from not only the region, but Melbourne and other parts of Victoria. Largely because of the Fayre and the money it raises, the Carlsruhe Fire Brigade has been described as one of Victoria's best equipped small units.

A highlight of this year’s Fayre will be the presence of TV personality, and doyen of craftwork, Tonia Todman – who will also host a workshop. Tonia operates a school for cooking, craft, interior design and gardening at Lauriston near Kyneton, and is widely known for her exceptional craft work.

A wide range of excellent food will be available, whilst Paramoor Winery, which has recently earned four and a half stars from national wine critic James Halliday, will also offer its full range of wines.

Special marquees will host continuous folk music performances and poetry readings throughout the day. The live music and poetry reading all add to the movement, colour and general excitement of the Fayre.

There will be many stalls highlighting local foods and produce from the Daylesford and Macedon Region, which has over many years forged a national reputation for outstanding produce.

There will also be a great variety of activities for children including face painting and story telling, a quiz following clues around the Fayre, treasure hunt, drawing and painting and plenty more.
