Each ANZAC Day, Mount Macedon and the Memorial Cross play host to one of the largest Dawn Services in Victoria. Volunteer organisations work tirelessly to present this renowned event, the effect of which is a beautiful and inspirational Dawn Service that touches the Macedon Ranges community and beyond. Mount Macedon is indeed one of the most beautiful settings in which “to honour their sacrifice, to salute their service and to learn from the price they paid.”

The service includes a military catafalque party, a welcome address, songs, prayers, wreath laying, the traditional Last Post and Reveille bugle calls, the National Anthem, and if the weather permits – sunrise and an aerial salute ( fly-past)!

Like in previous years, this year’s service will only be accessible by bus.

There will  be FREE shuttle buses running from Tony Clarke Reserve in Macedon from 4:15am-5:20am that won’t require bookings.  Gold coin donations appreciated.

Buses will also run from:

Gisborne Railway Station (4:15am & 5:10am)
